April 15 1893, Saturday:
Killed By a Falling Limb
Manneses Weber, a farmer living near Plattsville, was struck by a falling limb while engaged in the woods last evening about five o'clock, and rendered unconscious. His hired man conveyed him to his house, where he died from the effects of his injuries this morning at one o'clock. The unfortunate man is a son of Noah Weber of Strasburg. He was about 30 years of age and leaves a wife and five children to mourn his untimely end. His funeral will take place on Monday from his late home to the Strasburg Cemetery. The accident has cast a deep sorrow over the entire neighborhood where he was well known and highly respected.
