    Mrs. Adam Reidt Passes

    The death of Mrs. Adam Reidt took place Monday morning, September 22, 1958 at her home. The deceased who was in her 72nd year had been in poor health with a heart condition for the past six months.

    Formerly Melinda Hopf, a daughter of the late Charles Hopf and his wife Elizabeth Bleckert, she was born in Normanby Township, April 8th, 1887 and lived there until her marriage in 1925. She has since resided in Clifford. Surviving besides her husband is one daughter Esther, Mrs. Kenneth Kock of Kitchener also two brothers, Christian Hopf of Ayton, Robert Hopf of Waterloo and three sisters, Mrs. Adam Feick of Ayton, Mrs. Hannah Hamar of Kitchener and Mrs. Irene Goll of Toronto and two grandchildren.

    The funeral took place on Wednesday at 2:30pm from St. John's Lutheran Church, Clifford with interment at Clifford Cemetery. The Rev. Martin Schiemann conducted the service.




    ADAM REIDT

    Adam Reidt, 77, of Clifford, died Friday Dec. 22, 1961, in K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He had lived in Kitchener for the past three years.

    Born July 27, 1884 in Howick Township, he was a farmer, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Clifford, and a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Reidt. He was predeceased by his wife, Malinda Hopf, in 1958.

    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Koch of Kitchener; one brother, George of Fort Frances, Ont.; four sisters, Mrs. William Wettlaufer of Hanover, Mrs. Jacob Seip of Clifford, Mrs. Margaret Gadke and Mrs. Carl Lantz of Kitchener, and two grandchildren.

    The funeral service was conducted at 2pm on Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. John's Lutheran Church Clifford by Rev. Martin Schiemann. Interment was in the Clifford Cemetery.
