OBITUARY
Lyman - Cora Ellen Horner 75, passed away at the Wesley Hospital in WADENA, May 5 following a stroke. Funeral services were held last Saturday at the Bertha Funeral Home with Reverand Clarabel Fish of the Union Corner Church officiating. Interment was in the WADENA Cemetery.
Cora was born March 23, 1884 in Rice Co., Minnesota and came with her parents to this vicinity where she eventually met and married Percy Irons, and to this union were born two sons and a daughter. In 1922 she was married to LeRoy South, who passed away last January 11. To this marriage was born Stanley South of Hewitt, Minnesota Other surviving children are: Clifford Irons of Hewitt, Minnesota; Cecil Irons, Kelso, WA and Mrs. Thomas (Evelyn) Marsh of Deer Creek, Minnesota There are 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Surviving brother and sisters are: Fannie Rodekuhr-Walker, Minnesota; Grace Nelson of LaCrosse, WI and Sam Horner of Bagley, Clearwater Co., Minnesota
Relatives and friends coming from a distance who came to attend the funeral were the surviving children named above and Ervin Nelson of Northfield, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey Randel of Bagley, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. James South and family of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Mrs. Bennie Meints, Mpls, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Irons, Mpls, Minnesota; Marlin Irons of Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Horner of Cohasset, Minnesota; Mrs. Oliver Marsh of Bovey, Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Smith and family of Mpls., Minnesota and other relatives and friends from Hewitt, Deer Creek, Henning, Parkers Prairie and WADENA, WADENA Co., Minnesota
