Glen Allan Cemetery

Headstones

Thumb Description Status Location Name (Died/Buried)
BLAIR, Elizabeth
BLAIR, Elizabeth
While the tombstone is too faded to read in its entirety, it is suspected to be that of Elizabeth Blair given its close proximity to the tombstone of her husband, given that she is recorded as buried in this cemetery, and given that age at time of death is a match. Cemetery records need to be consulted.

Plaque reads: This bell from Knox United Church Glen Allan was sold after the church was destroyed by fire in January 1975. It was rebuilt with no bell tower. The bell was reaquired in 2003 and mounted on the lawn in front of the church. At the closing of the church in 2006, the bell was relocated to Glen Allan Cemetery in recognition of the long standing presence of the church in the community.
