Edgar H. Rupp - Obituary
MARYSVILLE - Edgar H. Rupp, 90, of 1759 Vermont Ave., died Thursday, Nov. 15, 1979, in Mercy Hospital, Port Huron, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Rupp was born Aug. 21, 1889, in Zurich, Ontario. He had viled in Marysville Since 1957.
He married Maude Trainor in 1921. She died Aug. 25, 1970.
Mr. Rupp was World War I Army veteran. He retired from the Detroit Stove Co. in 1957, after 43 years. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Port Huron, and the Marysville 60's Club.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Rebh, St. Clair Shores; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11am Monday in the Arthur Smith Funeral Homes-South Chapel, Port Huron. The Rev. Frederick Schoof, pastor of Our Saviour Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm today and noon to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Sunday in the funeral home.
Edgar married Maude I. Sisson on 20 Oct 1921 in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan. Maude (daughter of John Sisson and Cora Welch) was born about 1888 in Michigan; died on 25 Aug 1970; was buried in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville, St Clair County, Michigan. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
