    • Geauga Republican, Chardon, Ohio, Wednesday, Feb 8, 1911

ANDREW H. FIEDLER DIED EARLY MONDAY.

Andrew H Fiedler, a highly respected citizen, died Monday, Feb. 6, at 7:00 a.m. at his farm home in the northeast part of Chardon, aged 78 years and nearly 3 months. He had been a sufferer from Bright's disease for a year. He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Abigail C. Fiedler, and two sons--County Surveyor E.A. Fiedler, of Chardon, and Clarrence E. Fiedler, of Cincinnati. An older sister, Mrs Louisa Edel, lives in Cleveland. Two brothers also survive, Louis Fiedler, of Chardon, and Emil H. Fiedler of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Albert Henry Fiedler was born in Schwartsburg, a principality of Germany, Nov. 24, 1837. He emigrated to America in 1852, and became a naturalized citizen Nov. 3, 1852, at Painesville. Mr. Fiedler served an apprenticeship as carpenter and joiner soon after his arrival in Ohio, which trade he followed for many years. He resided in Painesville, Perry and Hambden, and then was a resident of Chardon, in his home near Woodin hill, for over 46 years. Mr. Fiedler was married in 1864 to Abigail C. Brown, of Hambden. He was confirmed a member of the German Lutheran Church, April 4, 1852. He united with the Cong. Church of Chardon about 28 years ago. He was an honest, industrious, upright citizen, and will be missed in the community where he had so long resided. The family has the sympathy of many friends in the loss they have sustained. The funeral services will be hold at the Christian Church, Thursday, at 1 p.m. standard time. Rev.. T.D. Phillips, of Lakewood, former pastor of the deceased, will officiate.
