    • Gordon G. Miller. Highly Esteemed:
      A resident of Collingwood for the past nine years, Gordon G. Miller, 44 Peter Street, died in Toronto General Hospital on Dec. 14 1964 after a six week illness. During the years he had been a resident of this community he had made a wide circle of friends, all of whom ware deeply grieved at his passing. He was keenly interested in all phases of community activity and contributed of his time and talents in a number of projects. He was a member of All Saint's Anglican Church and for several years served as church treasurer. He was also chairman of the Anglican Group Committee of the Boy Scouts and carried his interest at a high level serving as a member of the Collingwood Committee of Scouts. Besides these activities, Mr. Miller was a ardent fisherman and since coming to this district had covered the area well in the various fishing seasons. Mr. Miller was born fifty-nine years ago at Neustadt, son of the late Louis and Katherine Miller. Prior to coming to Collingwood, where he had been manager of Brewer's Warehousing Company Limited store, he had resided in Guelph and Kitchener. He is survived by his wife, the former Carrie Gaiser, one son, [...], two sisters, Alma (Mrs. Henry Huether) and Lilly (Mrs. Walter Wolfe), both of Kitchener. His parents, one sister, Mrs. E. Binkley (Clara) of Kitchener and one brother, Irvin Miller of Toronto predeceased him. His funeral on Dec. 27 was held at All Saint's Anglican Church with Rev. Phillip Downer officiating.

Resting at the Chatterson-Austin Funeral Home, Collingwood, until Monday noon. Funeral service at All Saints Anglican Church, Collingwood on Monday December 28th at 2 p.m. Casket will remain open in the church from 12 noon until time of service.
